Credentials

Brenda received her M.Sc. from Loma Linda University in California and her B.A. Special in Criminology at the University of Alberta. She has had the good fortune to counsel clients for over 10 years as well as work as an Instructor and Supervisor for the Counsellor Training Institute. Brenda has learned and/or developed N.L.P., Anger Management, Emotional Management, Self Esteem and Parenting Techniques, meditation, Stress Management, and visualizations. She has developed a successful three step approach to letting go of a negative relationship which is called the ABC's of Letting Go which is relatively quick and easy. She also developed a program for Addiction Recovery for various addictions.

Brenda has successfully coordinated and facilitated Pre-Marital and Marital Enrichment courses, Anger Management programs for boys, teens and womens' groups. Additionally, she worked worked with mens' Domestic Violence groups and coordinated and facilitated Self Esteem, Boundary and Self-Awareness workshops for women and teens. Furthermore, Brenda has experience in conducting Grief workshops and Survivors of Incest groups.

Brenda has been professionally trained in a variety of different models of systems theory during her Masters Degree. Brenda has an eclectic approach to counseling combining the Brief Solution Focus Model, The Satir Model, the Bowen Family of Origin Model, Cognitive Behavior Model and the Structural Model. With her wide variety of models, techniques and tools gathered over the past 10 years, she can effectively empower anyone with the ability to heal themselves. She believes the most important ingredient in the success of her sessions is that everyone keep an open heart and mind. Brenda welcomes everyone from any denomination, ethnic background, race, or sexual orientation to her practice.
